Trump's Tactics: Recognizing Control and Standing in Your Power
Jan 28, 2025
I know you’ve seen everything unfolding in the first week and a half of Trump’s presidency: the elimination of DEI programs, mass deportations, cuts to federal funding, and the rollback of gender equality protections. Let me just say—I understand exactly how you feel. Watching these events unfold in our society feels surreal, and I’ve been grappling with a mix of emotions: fear, sadness, and deep anger at the blatant disregard for humanity. These are incredibly frustrating and uncertain times, especially if these initiatives are directly impacting you.
The hard truth I’ve had to come to terms with is that our current president exhibits many of the same tactics as Hitler—spreading messages of fear, hate, and division, particularly targeting marginalized groups, without any remorse.
This article is here to serve as a guide, because we need to be prepared for what’s to come during this presidency and the massive shift we are experiencing in the world. This is not meant to scare you or perpetuate messages of fear, lack, or limitation. Rather, it’s meant to raise awareness, so you can make a conscious choice—one that will be impactful not only for yourself, but for all of humanity.
In The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz writes:
"The word is the most powerful tool we have as humans. The word is magic, but it is also the most dangerous thing we have. With it, we create the world around us. Hitler used the word to create fear, to spread hatred, and to make a genocide. And this is what we do every day, we use our words to create our world."
This quote highlights just how powerful words can be. Whether we intend to or not, the words we choose shape the world around us. In extreme cases, such as with Hitler, words were used to spread fear and hatred, leading to unimaginable destruction.
Today, we see similar tactics being used by figures like trump, whose words and actions are carefully crafted to instill fear, manipulate, and control. Through inflammatory language, he seeks to rally supporters and suppress dissent. Yet, like all attempts at control, it only works if we allow it. As Don Miguel Ruiz warns, we have the choice not to "take the emotional poison" that others may try to push onto us. Trump's words may be aimed at creating division and compliance, but their power diminishes the moment we choose not to be influenced by them.
In the end, the real control lies with us. We can refuse to internalize the fear and negativity he promotes, and in doing so, we reclaim our power and help create a reality built on understanding, not manipulation.
You might be asking, "How can I not be influenced by this when his actions are directly affecting me?" It’s a valid question, especially when the impact of those words and actions can feel overwhelming and immediate. But the key lies in recognizing that while external circumstances may be beyond our control, our internal reactions are not.
The first step is awareness. By recognizing that fear, anger, and frustration are often the tools used to manipulate us, we can begin to see those emotions for what they are—emotional poison designed to provoke a reaction. When we consciously choose not to engage with those emotions or let them dictate our behavior, we begin to break free from the control that such tactics aim to establish.
It’s also about setting boundaries. While we cannot control what others say or do, we can control how we respond. This might mean limiting exposure to negative rhetoric, surrounding ourselves with supportive communities, and focusing on actions that align with our values.
Most importantly, it’s about reclaiming our power through mindfulness and perspective. Yes, trump's actions may have an immediate impact, but how we internalize them and what we do with those emotions can ultimately define how much control he—and others like him—have over us. By choosing to not take in the emotional poison, we keep our peace and retain our ability to make decisions that are not based on fear, but on clarity and strength.
This is not a time to give up or feel defeated. It’s not a time to be scared or resort to protests and marches, which may seem like the right response. This is a time to stand in our power by going within and reclaiming it.
The issues we’re facing today stem from our collective unconscious as a society. Even if you don't have a direct hand in creating these problems, we’re all contributing to them. This is an internal war, not an external battle. Many of us are suffering due to a lack of awareness of who we truly are.
The systems in place were designed to benefit people like Trump and the billionaires who control the population. But they want control over you not because you’re powerless, but because you are powerful. That’s why we’re bombarded with messages of hate, scarcity, suffering, inequality, and injustice—it keeps us in a state of compliance.
My friend, this is all an illusion. I need you to start waking up to this truth, because the only way to change this world is by coming together and standing in our power. We are all part of the divine source intelligence. We have been given the gift of creation, but we’ve used it to create suffering, war, poverty, climate change, and chaos, largely due to the conditioning and programming we received growing up. The stories and narratives we’ve believed as truth have perpetuated these problems.
It’s time to continue the work of great leaders like Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Buddha, and Christ. They are no different from you—they are you. We are all connected. The more we realize this and come together, instead of feeding into distractions and conflict, the more we can make lasting, meaningful change.
Imagine billions of people realizing they are not victims of their reality, but creators of it. That is far more powerful than any oligarchy. This is precisely what they fear, which is why there are so many illusions and distractions keeping us apart.
You might be feeling some resistance to this message, thinking, “This sounds great, but it feels like nonsense. I want to fight, I want to feel scared and angry. This isn’t going to change anything.” And I want to challenge you a bit here.
What if you channeled all those emotions into creating something that helps spread messages like this one? Imagine coming together with people from around the world to discuss what I like to call an internal revolution. Fighting back against these systems with hate and anger only continues the cycle they’ve set—just for a different reason. We need to do something different, something that’s never been done before by the masses.
Go within. Be the change we wish to see in the world. Spread love in a world full of hate. Love is the answer—it always has been. Love is far more powerful than hate. It is the foundation we can use to “fight” this battle—and win.
I want you to take a moment and pay attention to your heartbeat. Have you ever really stopped to appreciate the incredible intelligence your body carries? Did you know that your heart beats at the same frequency as the Earth's core? That’s a powerful reminder of how deeply connected and unified you truly are.
In our modern world, we’re often taught to disconnect from our bodies, to stay trapped in our minds where turmoil and distraction thrive. These distractions come from the messages we receive and the beliefs we hold. Yet, we rarely stop to notice the body, the breath, or the wisdom within. This is where your true power resides—this is where you connect to the source of creation, whatever you choose to call it.
Your heart is the gateway to the divine. As the documentary The Power of the Heart on Gaia reveals, groundbreaking discoveries show that the heart has its own unique intelligence. It’s not just a pump that keeps us alive—it’s an organ capable of influencing our emotions, thoughts, and even our surroundings. Scientists have found that the heart communicates with the brain and affects our physical and emotional states in profound ways.
This is the key to creating real change. By reconnecting with the wisdom of our hearts, we tap into a deeper source of power, one that can guide us toward more meaningful transformation—not only within ourselves, but in the world around us.
